My 6-month Sabbatical: Coachella, Europe, and more!
In 2023, I decided to take a 6-month career break to focus on spending time with my family in Canada, attend Coachella in Indio California, and take a 9-week (long overdue) honeymoon with my partner in Europe. We also decided it was time to start family planning so by the end of 2024, we found out that we were expecting a little gremlin that would be joining us in September 2024! Fun fact: He actually joined us in August 2024 (the same birthday month as his dad!).
Life as a Product Designer + finding my “dream job”
After my sabbatical, I spent a few weeks job hunting and finding my ideal job (before going on maternity leave). After 10+ years of working in corporate, scale-ups, and start-ups, I know what I like and don’t like in different opportunities.
