Preggo Life: Happy 27th Week to Me!

It’s the final week of my second trimester as a preggo person and I’m so sad!

Second trimester, as everyone says, is the best time of pregnancy.

You’re not as tired and nauseous as you are in the first trimester and you aren’t as tired and heavy as you are in the third trimester so the second trimester is the sweet spot!

But of course, I’m going to keep staying positive and hanging onto the fact that I still feel happy and healthy right now.

I don’t feel as heavy as I look (I look like a whale!).

And I can walk and exercise fine.

I am feeling a bit of soreness around my pelvic region recently but I’m going to reduce the intensity of my workouts so I take some time to rest.

I was supposed to go to Zumba tonight but I decided it would probably be better taking a rest day to heal the soreness!

I hope I wake up less sore around that region.

Anyway, another fun thing I had to do last weekend was do my second Glucose Tolerance Test (GTT).

They said they will call me with the results once they find out… but I think they will call if I do test positive for gestational diabetes (GD).

It’s the end of Wednesday and I did the test on Saturday, so hopefully that’s good news?

I have my Week 28 appointment next week so we shall see what my results for my GD test will look like!

Fingers crossed everything is all right.

Hmm, what else is new?

This week, we decided to get a lot of vegetables inside our body.

We made vegetarian lasagna and pesto pasta (yum!!). Second trimester is great because you feel like you can eat everything yummy again!

First trimester, I could barely get anything down. Haha.

Verrrrry unfortunate!

I’m going to continue documenting my pregnancy journey as much as I can because who knows when this will happen again?

Creating a life is a miracle and a blessing so I’ll hold onto these precious moments.

Although I do come across negative stories and unfortunate events on social media and in real life, I try to focus on the positives and enjoy this experience as much as I can.

You never know what could happen.

You just need to be cautious, embrace life’s surprises and live each day to its fullest.

Work’s been good, life’s been good, life with my partner has been great.

We are now just counting down the days until the gremlin pops out… can’t wait!

xoxo, knd.
